Burgas Live is an unofficial app by VH Electronics, not affiliated with Burgasbus EOOD or the Municipality of Burgas. We collect as little as possible. No ads, no trackers, no data sold. Data is stored on the operator's own server in the EU.

Without a profile

A random device ID (a hash, not linked to your name), phone model, app version and IP address - to run the service and prevent abuse. The request log is kept for 30 days.

With a profile

Your nickname, icon, colour and settings; chat messages (deleted after 7 days); your rides (line, time, distance, points); the reports you file.

Location

Sent only if you share it or collect ride points. While the app is open, every few seconds. If you turn on "Background ride tracking", also with the screen off for as long as a ride lasts - always with a visible notification and a Stop button; the service stops by itself after 15 minutes without a ride. The server keeps your current position in memory only and forgets it 2 minutes after your last update. Other riders see it only the way you choose: nobody / ~200 m / exact / "on my bus". The operator can see your last shared position (only the latest one, for at most 24 hours) to prevent abuse.

Transport data

Buses (livetransport.eu), trains (BDZ), ships (AISStream) and planes (own ADS-B receiver) are public information about vehicles - not about you.

Legal basis and age

Your consent (profile, location) and legitimate interest (abuse prevention). You must be at least 14.

Your rights

You can change what others see, or stop sharing, at any time. "Delete my account" in the app erases your profile, messages, rides and points immediately - see Delete your account. Access, correction, deletion or objection: [email protected] or "Report a problem" in Settings.
